Even if only a 100 or so derelicts and homeless dudes showed up for the Trump parade downtown, Bo French , leader of Tarrant R's was there.

Recall the bounty law on abortion helpers.............Some one should offer a bounty to find Crystal Gayden organizing a rally or parade or happy hour inspiring Democrats in Tarrant CountyI

Tarrant County will go blue this year. Take my word for it. I can't make and calls about flips in your neck of the woods, but keep your chin up.

the city did not ban Pride Week....but it did removed its imprimatur on an event....meanwhile RW haters force BG to do something antithetical to their values..

this is the state of affaris...RW uses every tool and Dems lay down and get run over.

expect no protest nor any mention from any D campaigning or elected.

also expect the press to now show up, platforming this event.

please read these comments from Ryan Rusak..R/C Commentator in todays FSWT

"The Texas Republican Party’s platform — its statement of beliefs and policy proposals — always gets a ton of attention.

"Democrats create a platform, too. Not that you would know it from news coverage."

Another point on this is that this is a significantly weaker statement of party commitment then when over 90% of Texas Democratic voters voted for Medicare for All as a party ballot initiative in 2018 before the party leadership cancelled those initiatives. Moreover, DNC members from TDP voted against M4A at the DNC platform committee in 2020, despite the overwhelming referendum results.

The Texas Democratic Party if further left than the national party.

I knew that Texas Democratic voters were further left than DC, but the adoption of a progressive platform solidifies it.

I appreciate you pointing this out. I just do not think the trajectory of the party in Texas can realistically be described as moving to the left since 2018.

Maybe. I’ll have to look back at the 2018 platform for sure. So you think they’ve moved right?

Either stayed about the same or moved slightly to the right relative to 2018. It is hard to match the progressive energy of 2016-2020.

If you look at Texas Democratic members of Congress and their statements during the 2020 cycle when M4A was the center of the progressive challenge to the establishment, you will see clearly that Texas Democrats do not in fact support M4A, regardless of their platform.

Not all in the 2020 cycle, or in this cycle. It's not a secret that we have some moderate and conservative Democrats in office, but as a whole, as a state, and as a party, we're moving in the right direction.

What I am contesting is that this platform is evidence of a relative shift in position. I think Texas Democrats are more centrist now relative to where they were in 2018. I think it is hard to argue otherwise given the non-event that the senatorial primary was and how there are no congressional challengers nearly as liberal as Mike Seigel, Jessica Cisneros, Julie Oliver or even Beto himself.

I guess a moment of self congratulations is in order........meanwhile over in Mordor they ain't pondering ...they're planning...and in their weird take on Christianity poor people don't get HC. I can understand keepem dumb, but sick...that sounds like bad for businees...but racism I guess takes priority over money.

Likely they will have to trash the constitution along the way....Raise ur hands if u think SCOTUS will strike down the "Win every Texas County" law or "Roadblocks in Lubbock County" Law........

if I were a party honcho with a mailing list I would test the bounty law and the roadblock law.
