Rank and file members felt D's didn't stick up for them becasue we didn't.......Texas D's in 70's, 80s and 90's were the Party of Trial Lawyers..Screw labor..who needs em!....Then comes Reagan, part racism, part old America, selling the faded dream , but again taking on labor and Dems didn't fight back....in fact Dems in Texas bought into the Reagan myth and went wholesale R..including rank and flie.
