Good essay, Michelle. Especially this year, we cannot let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

wouldn't it be swell if Alread on lost by a point cause he didn't want to get his hands dirty

TT: "Colin Allred’s understated campaign strategy draws mixed reviews from fellow Democrats

Allred’s sharp divergence from Beto O’Rourke’s more active campaign style has stirred dissent among some Democrats. His allies say it’s working.

I helped organize and lead Resist Trump Tuesday demonstrations with MoveOn & Indivisible groups from Jan 21- mid March 2017 in front of Sen. Cruz's office on Travis Street in Houston. About 10 of us were invited upstairs one day. I listened to him tell an Iraqi refugee whose father had been a translator for our Marines that her family was difficult to adequately vet, tell an MD with a PhD in economics that she didn't understand health care or insurance, and deny that i could have had any difficulties with pre-existing conditions as a polio survivor.

with post polio syndrome. So I did tell him that I would not only campaign for his opponent but would crawl nekkid through salted ground glass to vote against him.

In mid March I collapsed on a sidewalk and retired from most street protests.

He really is a smarmy jackass. He’s spent his entire career trying to take healthcare from Texans. I can’t stand him.

Thank you Michelle!

I really like Colin, his communication style and his compelling personal story, and I have been confused why there has not been more buzz about him.

Can you give me your impression on why all the whispers about Colin not being “on board” with Kamala Harris? Is it from Colin, or is it coming from the DNC not being supportive of a Texas Democrat candidate because “Dems don’t win in Texas “?

I just think this is a golden opportunity to shed Ted and gain a senate seat, and we should rally hard for Colin.

Seems like a black ex football player voting rights lawyer from Dallas can beat Ted hard this Roevember… is there a back story?

I think the Allred/Harris thing is an ideological difference, but I can't say for sure. Harris is to the left of Allred, and perhaps there is concern whether or not that would help/hurt him in Texas.
