Texas Legislative GOP Launch White Supremacist Attack On Jasmine Crockett
The racial motivations behind the Texas GOP's assault on Black political power.
Earlier this year, Congressman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) introduced a bill, HR 8081, which would reform the US Secret Service’s protective mission by automatically terminating protection for those sentenced to prison following conviction for a federal or state felony. This would clarify that prison authorities would be responsible for protecting all inmates regardless of previous Secret Service protection.
Eight Democrats, all (except one) of whom are Black, co-sponsored the bill, one of whom was Jasmine Crockett.
In a statement released by Legislative Democrats, they stated, “Unfortunately, current law doesn’t anticipate how Secret Service protection would impact the felony prison sentence of a protectee—even a former President. It is regrettable that it has come to this, but this previously unthought-of scenario could become our reality. Therefore, it is necessary for us to be prepared and update the law so the American people can be assured that protective status does not translate into special treatment—and that those who are sentenced to prison will indeed serve the time required of them.”
The proposed bill ensures that individuals sentenced to prison for federal or state felonies do not receive special treatment due to their prior Secret Service protection.
Under current law, it is unclear how Secret Service protection would apply to a convicted felon, even if that person were a former President.
If former President Trump were sentenced to prison, this bill would automatically terminate his Secret Service protection. This means the Secret Service agents would not be required to accompany him to prison, thus preventing him from receiving any special treatment or privileges that other inmates would not have.
The bill ensures that all inmates, regardless of their previous status or protections, are treated equally under the law. Rather than the Secret Service, prison authorities would protect and manage the inmate, thereby upholding the principle that a prison sentence should be served without special accommodations.
It seems pretty clear-cut.
However, some Texas Legislative Republicans, all of whom are white, are now using the attempted assassination of the orange one to target Jasmine Crockett and demand she resign.
Even more alarming, the same people targeting Jasmine Crockett are the ones who are trying to remove all political power from people of color in Texas in the Legislature.
This is the second attempt this group is making in Texas to “take out” Black and brown people in office.
Considering that white people are now a minority in Texas, we all should be VERY alarmed at this group’s behavior.
Here is the letter they published:
They are linking this bill to the assassination attempt over the weekend, insinuating that Jasmine Crockett tried to make it so Trump would have had no Secret Service protection this weekend if the bill was successful, instead of what the bill is ACTUALLY about, which is what happens AFTER a person with a Secret Service detail goes to prison.
At least half of the signees are in the Legislature and know how to read bills. They know the bill affects what happens after Trump goes to prison, not before.
Their statement is intellectually dishonest, completely twists the facts, and targets the most popular and well-loved Black Democratic Congresswoman from Texas.
The same people are attempting to remove political power from people of color in the Texas Legislature.
Their so-called “Contract with Texas” will remove political power from all Democrats in the Texas House, even though:
The majority of Hispanic voters in Texas vote Democratic.
The majority of Black voters in Texas vote Democratic.
The majority of Asian voters in Texas vote Democratic.
Considering that many of the same people who signed the RACIST “Contract on Texas” have also called for the most well-loved Black Democratic Congresswoman from Texas to resign, it’s hard to see it as anything other than a second white supremacist attack on the political power of people of color in Texas.
It should also be noted that 80% of Jasmine Crockett’s district is non-white.
So, which Republicans are attacking Jasmine Crockett?
Representative Brian Harrison (ring-leader)
Representative Briscoe Cain
Representative Mark Darazio
Senator Bob Hall
Representative Caroline Harris Davilla
Republican candidate Andy Hooper
Representative Carry Isaac
Republican candidate Helen Kerwin
Representative Jeff Leach
Republican candidate AJ Louderback
Republican candidate David Lowe
Republican candidate Shelly Luther
Republican candidate Don McLaughlin
Senator Mays Middleton
Republican candidate Brent Money
Republican candidate Matt Morgan
Republican candidate Mike Olcott
Republican candidate Keresa Richardson
Representative Nate Schatzline
Representative Kevin Sparks
Representative Lynn Stucky
Representative Valoree Swanson
Representative Tony Tinderholt
Representative Steve Toth
Representative Ellen Troxclair
Representative Cody Vasut
Republican candidate Wesley Virdell
Only five of these Republicans are running unopposed in the Texas House. The two Senators aren’t up for re-election until 2026. Another four are in severely gerrymandered districts, which are nearly impossible to flip.
That means, in this list of 27 white supremacist-aligned Republicans, we can either vote out or stop sixteen of them from being elected.
The targeting of Jasmine Crockett and the broader attack on Black and brown political power in the Texas House by Republicans is undeniably racist.
This is not merely a partisan issue but a calculated move to suppress the influence of non-white communities in Texas politics.
Firstly, the demographic reality in Texas is that white people are now a minority. Despite this, the Texas GOP has continually sought to maintain political dominance through tactics that disenfranchise voters of color. This includes gerrymandering, voter suppression laws, and now, direct attacks on prominent Black and brown legislators.
Jasmine Crockett, a Black Democratic Congresswoman, represents a district where 80% of the population is non-white. Her presence and influence in the Congress provide a vital voice for these communities. By targeting her with false accusations and demanding her resignation, Republicans are not just attacking one individual; they are attempting to silence the political representation of a vast and diverse constituency.
The Republicans’ actions also reflect a broader pattern of racial hatred. The same group of Republicans advocating for Crockett’s resignation has endorsed the “Contract with Texas,” a plan that would effectively strip political power from all Democrats in the Texas House. Given the racial composition of Texas’ Democratic voters—majorities of Hispanic, Black, and Asian voters—the contract is inherently designed to diminish the political influence of these communities.
Moreover, the intellectually dishonest linking of Crockett to the recent assassination attempt on Trump is a blatant example of race-baiting. The bill she co-sponsored addresses the status of Secret Service protection after a felony conviction, not during a term in office or following an assassination attempt. By distorting the bill’s intent, Republicans are engaging in fear-mongering and racial scapegoating.
This strategy is a continuation of historical efforts to suppress Black political power. From the Jim Crow era to modern voter ID laws and gerrymandering, there has been a consistent effort to limit the political influence of Black and brown communities. The current actions of Texas Republicans are a modern manifestation of these old tactics.
The stakes are high. If Republicans succeed in removing Jasmine Crockett and implementing their “Contract with Texas,” it will set a dangerous precedent. It will signal that racially motivated political suppression is acceptable and effective. This is why it is crucial for voters to recognize the racist underpinnings of these actions and to stand against them.
The targeted attack on Jasmine Crockett is not just an insult to her personally but a direct assault on the principles of representative democracy. It is imperative that all Texans, regardless of party affiliation, reject these racist tactics and support the fair representation of all communities in the state’s political process.
These Republicans have no business in political office in Texas.
Leading up to the election, you can rest assured that I will be exposing every one of their voting histories, words, and actions to prove that they have no business being in power in one of the most diverse states in the union.
The only way to end the madness of a white supremacist government in Texas is to vote against every single Republican up and down the ballot.
This is also the time to rally around Black and brown lawmakers like Jasmine Crockett in the face of such hateful and vicious attacks.
There are 113 days until the November election. Republicans are lashing out, and the attempted assassination of the orange one has encouraged them to double down on their racism, hatred, and stochastic terrorism.
We can beat them at the ballot box, but it will take all of us to get involved, share the message, and ensure they fail. If you aren’t already doing something, this is the time to get involved with GOTV this year.

more of the soft facism.....this time Tarrant County style
"Former state Rep. Lon Burnam and the Rev. Ryon Price of Broadway Baptist Church spend nearly every other Tuesday speaking in favor of progressive policy at Tarrant County Commissioners Court meetings.
Tarrant County Sheriff’s deputies have issued both trespassing warnings after Judge Tim O’Hare said they violated the rules of Commissioners Court on July 2. Price was banned for one year because he exceeded the three-minute time limit for public comment by eight seconds. Burnam was issued the warning after he approached O’Hare at the conclusion of the meeting.

if u want to figure how the deck is stacked against us in the media watch the Lester Holt interview in which Lester keeps asking why Biden doesn't quit cause he is such an old fart and Biden keeps asking Holt why media never ask Trump why he raped Jeane Carroll, or started an insurrection or lied 29 times in the debate.
the media is totally biased against Biden except Morning Joe that was taken off the air inexplicably.
this is what the soft fascist coup is gonna look like.....news outlets bending over backwards to avoid criticizing Trump
