SHOCKING Leaked Video: GOP Discusses Executing Rape Victims, Banning IVF
Twelve Republican candidates for the Texas Legislature signed this extreme group's pledge to file legislation to ban IVF and make abortion a capital punishment crime.
Over the last decade, I’ve watched hundreds of Republican speeches and events. The video below is one of the most shocking and terrifying things I’ve ever seen from the far right. Twelve Republican candidates have signed their pledge, agreeing to file this legislation if elected.
The video was taken in Granbury at a True Texas Project event. The speaker is Paul Brown, the Director of Policy and Operations of a fringe group called “Abolish Abortion Texas.”
The video starts with Brown saying, “An eye for an eye. A tooth for a tooth.” He discussed how women who have abortions should be executed under “God’s law.” He then goes on to talk about how abortion is murder, starting at the moment of fertilization, even before implantation.
Brown calls the PlanB pill, or the Morning After pill, a form of abortion. Then he says other categories of abortion include what happens in IVF when a fertilized egg is created and then destroyed.
Soon after Brown talks about executing women, he says, “We are an explicitly Christian organization.” Because their form of religion justifies killing people.
About two minutes into the video, Brown says, “We have a whole bunch of candidates who have expressed their willingness to support abolition.”
In terms of “abortion abolition,” here is what this group means:
The banning of IVF.
The prohibition of emergency contraception.
The ban of some forms of birth control, like IUDs.
Capital punishment for women who have abortions.
Capital punishment for doctors who perform abortions.
Here are the twelve Republicans who signed the pledge with “Abolish Abortion Texas” and will file legislation in the 89th Legislative session to get it passed:
The Abortion Abolition speaker went on to say that they would never endorse an abortion in cases of incest or rape.
Meaning that if a woman or child in Texas is raped and had an abortion, she would still be liable for the death penalty.
A woman in the crowd, off camera, chimes in and says, “I run a pregnancy center. Statistics actually show that a woman who carries a baby from rape feels better than a woman that aborts.”
What statistics is that? Those statistics don’t exist because she made them up. Furthermore, the woman is Kim Irwin, who runs the “Brazos Pregnancy Center” in Granbury. This is one of those fake pregnancy centers that offer low-income women free pregnancy tests and then tell them that they’ll go to hell if they have an abortion. (Courtesy of Texas taxpayers).
Worse, the Brazos Pregnancy Center is in charge of Granbury’s only sex education program in Granbury ISD. Irwin later says in the video that women are lying about miscarriages to cover up abortions.
That takes her comments to another level when you factor in that Irwin is the de facto director of Granbury’s children’s sexual health education. 🤯
Paul Brown has a side discussion with Kim Irwin about whether or not abortions after rape are still considered murder. Brown says, “I understand where you’re coming from because you want to help the woman.”
From the National Library of Medicine: Crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs) harm women through manipulative and deceptive practices that negatively impact maternal health. CPCs are unregulated and nonmedical facilities that lack regulatory oversight and federal privacy laws. They use false and misleading information, emotional manipulation, and delays to prevent pregnant people from accessing comprehensive and timely care. CPCs also spread misinformation on sexual health and abortion and hinder or delay pregnant people from accessing timely and comprehensive care from appropriately trained, nonjudgmental, and licensed medical professionals.
Then, Brown says he’s participated in sidewalk advocacy… he meant he’d been one of the lunatics outside of Planned Parenthood locations screaming bible verses at women walking in and out of the establishment.
Brown compared abortions to slavery.
What the actual fuck? He said, “There were a million reasons people had not to make slavery illegal, but eventually they did, and it was fine.”
It’s tough to tell if Brown was taking a pro-slavery or anti-slavery position.
Later in the video, Brown discusses with another audience member (who has been identified as a previous candidate for Hood County GOP Chair, Greg Harrell), in which female children are repeatedly referred to as “minor women.”
Minor women.
So, under the Abolish Abortion Texas plan, children who are raped and subsequently receive abortion care will be executed in the state of Texas.
Who are the twelve Republicans who pledged legislation that’ll support the Abolish Abortion Texas plan, and who are the Democrats running against them?
I’ve included the links to all of the Democrats’ websites; please consider donating if you can afford it or volunteering for them directly if you live in their area.
HD02: Brent Money (R) is a Republican who pledged to ban IVF in Texas. Kristen Washington (D) is the Democrat running against him.
HD06: Daniel Alders (R) is a Republican who pledged to ban some forms of birth control in Texas. Cody Grace (D) is the Democrat running against him.
HD07: Jay Dean (R) is the Republican incumbent who pledged to execute rape victims. Marlena Cooper (D) is the Democrat running against him.
HD18: Janis Holt (R), unfortunately, is a Republican running unopposed, and she’s pledged to execute doctors for performing abortion care. We should pledge to make her career in the House short and uncomfortable.
HD26: Matthew Morgan (R) is a Republican who pledged to execute minors in cases of abortion. Daniel Lee (D) is the Democrat running against him.
HD41: John “Doc” Robert Guerra (R) is a Republican who pledged to ban emergency contraceptives. Bobby Guerra (D) is the incumbent Democrat currently holding the seat.
HD53: Wes Virdell (R) is a Republican who pledged to ban some forms of birth control in Texas. Joe Herrera (D) is the Democrat running against him.
HD62: Shelley Luther (R) is a Republican who pledged to ban IVF in Texas. Tiffany Drake (D) is the Democrat running against her.
HD65: Mitch Little (R) is a Republican who pledged to execute rape victims in the state of Texas. Detrick Deburr (D) is the Democrat running against him.
HD82: Tom Craddick (R) is an incumbent Republican who pledged to execute doctors for performing abortion care. Steven Schafersman (D) is the Democrat running against him. Unfortunately, we still don’t have a website or social media for him yet.
HD119: Brandon Grable (R) is a Republican who pledged to ban emergency contraceptives in Texas. Liz Campos (D) is the incumbent Democrat currently holding the seat.
HD147: Claudio Gutierrez (R), a Republican who pledged to ban IVF in Texas. Jolando Jones (D) is the incumbent Democrat currently holding the seat.
Things can get worse.
Things will worsen if Democrats don’t mobilize this year like never before. Get involved, talk to your friends and family, and make a plan to vote.
Taking action is essential.
The severity of the threat posed to women’s autonomy and healthcare professional’s ability to provide care, even after the abortion ban, cannot be understated. Complacency is the ally of these proposed laws, and civic action is the only countermeasure. The responsibility now lies with Texans to respond with the same seriousness and resolve the situation demands.

It's scary to realize that religious extremists exist in every community, not just in the Middle East, as our leaders would want us to believe.
I lost my whole clever comment but read this https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5443340/ and tell me women will not have it worse in Texas than under the Taliban if they actually implement this?
