Texas lawyers were all aflutter when Texas sued big Tobacco and won....like $20B....TDP made Chas Soechting the State Chair cause he worked for John O'quinn, Plaintiffs Attorney...O'quinn and Laminack received $2b in fees. Our Attorney General , Dan Morales, went to prison. State Chair Chas Soecting donated $1500 to the kitty....he was supposed to bring millions of O'Qunnin money to buy elections. He didn't and TDP began its long slide into irrelevancy

a few years later Tony Sanchez, from the Valley , spent $60M of his Dad's money to be Govenor. His campaign was basically Consultants burring thru his money.

The Democratic Party of Texas is enfeebled because they don't read history and are extremely lazy.

that was alot to take in.......Texas was D after the Depression and then LBJ created the Perdenales Rural Electtificaon Co-Op....Prior to, the cedar wackers of the Hill Country were eking out hard scrabble lives in a terrain that would support neither man nor beast........every working man and women believed in LBJ's New Frontier.

then it went to shit for the simple reason Texas Dems became shiftless no good grifters especially the Trial Lawyers....they made Texas their playground with a a liberal court offering a very generous interpretation of Workers Comp laws> I know, i couldn't buy insurance for my small biz...

In Texas the sea change wasn't Hiroshima or Godzilla or Marylin Monroe and it wasn't ancient history.

In the 80's Trial Lawyers made Texas the worst place in America to conduct biz, and the D's, utterly beholden to their campaign dollars, were all in with the Trail Lawyers.

That's the why.

As a Gen Xer, I've only become more progressive as I age. I am very concerned (and really pissed) that Colin Allred's (TV) messaging is taking the opposite approach. Ted Cruz has never been more vulnerable than now. Allred is missing a real opportunity to educate the public about the threat that Cruz and the entire Texas Confederates pose. He clearly lacks the authenticity and passion that Roland Gutierrez embodied.

Colin loves his mother and doesn't like his father. Thats all the messaging his advertising conveys.

.....we have his doppelganger in FTW , Trey Hunt, in CD 12.

Its nice , their black........

They both seem to be running with all the passion and fire of a county surveyor in Montanna.

Cruz is gonna run over Colin and frankly i couldn't be bothered to vote for Trey Hunt.

I couldn't help but notice his first TV spot said he was against Biden concerning the border. I I almost lost my mind bc he didn't mention anything about Cruz, until after the TDP convention, where now, there is a slight edit to the same commercial that half-heartedly jabs Cruz. His campaign folks need to be fired. They are clearly not beta testing these spots.

Becky, you are it!.....lots of people will think we are grouch's.....i think we speak the truth

If Colin doesn't want to draw attention to the fact the he belongs to Joe Biden's party then there are about 2 dozen things to attack Contraception Cruz on....

thanks Becky, 'Texas Confederates' is spot on.

I saw a Colin commercial on cable this AM....at little more fight than the first bunch................I loved Roland too.....and am concerned Colin doesn't have the fight this current battle requires.

remember way back when when the lege removed munis the right to regulate themselves......IOW trashing home rule

well its come back to bite likely R's in the ass ....big time...............bit coin mining in Hood County

"Neighbors blame the noise, up to 85 decibels (or the sound of a lawnmower or heavy traffic), for a host of health problems, from stress to high blood pressure and lost sleep. One family placed foam around their toddler’s bed to protect his ears.

Texas state law does not allow counties to regulate noise pollution, and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality can’t either

. The bitcoin operation is owned by Florida-based Marathon Digital. It gets its power from the Wolf Hollow II natural gas station next door."
