It is absolutely absurd to remove early voting locations from college campuses in Texas. With 45,000 students at UTA and they expect them to walk to and from the Arlington SubCourthouse and wait in long lines to vote? Holy crap. Like they don't have classes to go to. Or jobs, because a whole lot of students I taught before recently retiring worked part time and even full time. Maybe the university could organize MavMover shuttles to and from there. (Fat chance, right?) Looking at your stats by age range, the Rs have reason to be scared for sure. Gen Z voters, from what I am reading, are fired up to vote this year. Let's hope there is enough protest to get polling stations back on campus. 🤞
further FTW news......champions of the "Lost Cause' otherwise known as the "Traitorous Rebelion" or 'Runners up in the Civil War" to close museum.....i am guessing nobody is buying that malarkey anymore
i have much to say here: 1st if there were functioning Dem Clubs on all the college campuses they could speak to their student constituencies and combine to offer one loud voice on many issues. All clubs , for the most part, currently consist of X accounts. The fact that O'hare wants to get polling stations off campuses means he knows they skew D. Why can't a 3'rd year PolySci student set up and run a functioning political club?....well for the same reason they are in college in the first place....to gather the knowhow.
u know who's got the knowhow now?...In our county it's the Tarrant County Democratic Party...
In their Club Directory they do no list one campus D club. In short they are pitiful.
So another opportunity squandered........or as I told Bud Kennedy in regard to his FWST editorial 'Times up for R's " about TC one day becoming D I told him that would have happen without any help from TCDP.
on the good news side especially for u FWST haters: "The Texas Tribune, a non-profit, non-partisan news outlet focused on state politics and policy, announced Thursday plans to launch a slate of local newsrooms to expand its reach to the community level, starting with Waco. " - TT

update y'all: TCU*, UTA, TWC, TAMU Law, Tarleton State, SWB Seminary, 3 campuses of TCC.
*TCU announced 1/2 of its student body of about 8500 are from out of state and would likely have no clue how to register and vote in Texas.
