Join The TX2030 Summit This Weekend In Fort Worth, TX
Building Power Through Progressive Action.
The Texas Grassroots Alliance is proud to announce its 2nd Annual TX2030 Summit in Fort Worth, TX, November 15-17, where we will gather to build power through progressive action. This summit is more than just a conference - it's vital to our collective movements in Texas!
Join this space for grassroots organizers to connect, share knowledge and resources, and build relationships that will help drive progressive change in the years to come. By empowering organizers with new connections, collaborations, and networks, we can create a more just and equitable Texas for all.
The 2024 elections have left us with a stark reminder of the importance of investing in local grassroots organizing infrastructure. Despite the promises of change, Texas remains a stronghold for extremism, and it's clear that our current approach is not working. It's time for a change, starting at the grassroots.
For too long, Texas has been treated as nothing more than an ATM for national Democratic aspirations. Candidates fly in, raise money from wealthy donors, and leave without genuinely engaging with the communities they claim to represent. Statewide campaigns have long become accustomed to harboring resources at the expense of investing in local organizing infrastructure. This approach is not only ineffective but also unsustainable. We need a new way forward, one that puts the power back in the hands of the people. (Grassroots perspective on how we need to change our approaches to campaigns)
That's where the work of the Texas Grassroots Alliance comes in. We believe that by working together, sharing resources, and supporting one another, we can create an organizing infrastructure supporting all Texas communities. In addition to organizing, we are building an all-encompassing political machine that elects progressive leaders and holds current elected officials accountable for their progressive values.
The TX2030 Summit is a critical moment in this journey. Over the course of three days (this weekend, 11/15-11/17), we will debrief on the 2024 election cycle, highlight organizational strategic plans through 2030, engage in power mapping by region, preview the 2025 Texas Legislature, and much more! We will also continue to empower organizers with new relationships, knowledge, collaborations, and networks. Our keynote speaker is Julie Oliver, Founder of Ground Game Texas!
We need to invest in grassroots organizing, and we need to do it now! The Texas Grassroots Alliance is committed to making this happen, and we invite you to join us.
