Is Julie Pickren A Liar Or Did She Simply Spill The Beans Early?
Call your SBOE member and tell them that PragerU and fascism aren't welcome in Texas.
Last week, the January 6 insurrectionist and Texas School Board of Education Member Julie Pickren gleefully announced that PragerU was coming to Texas schools. However, within 24-hours, SBOE Chair Keven Ellis released the following statement:
Ellis claimed to have no knowledge of PragerU submitting any instructional material to the SBOE, nor had anyone from PragerU ever contacted him.
So, why did Julie Pickren make this announcement?
After a massive blowback, here is how she responded:
She admitted she lied without saying, “I lied.” Here is the interesting thing, though. The SBOE is scheduled to meet next week.
Were Republicans planning on choosing PragerU as a vendor next week, and Pickren spilled the beans with an early announcement, causing a backlash and forcing them to walk it back?
Julie Pickren has long shown herself to lack integrity and is not someone we should trust with the minds of future generations. All anyone would have to do is spend more than ten minutes on her social media to see that she lacks the morals our society expects from our chosen representation.
Her participation in an insurrection against America should have disqualified her from running for office. Still, between gerrymandering and 9.5 million Texans not voting, she was elected into a position she was not qualified for.
Is the board intending to discuss adding PragerU as a vendor next week?
It’s entirely possible. Here is next week’s schedule. Now is the time to call your elected SBOE member and tell them you are not okay with PragerU in Texas schools. Tell your friends and family to call them, as well. Bombard them if need be.
