you make my point that i make to Tarrant D's , you must call out these monsters every chance you get I don't try to figure out why any D would try to normalize these traitors cause those same traitor will absoultey normalize prejudice and hate instincitively. Van Duyne will try to white wash her behavoir bys showing her clips with Crocket. Crockett can't show clips to a non-existant sw.ing voter. It all part of the 30+ years of Dems groveling before Texas R's.

Hii michele, i know its alot to ask but i wonder if you could focus on Health Care for an issue. It not just medicaid expansion but its also medicare and the horrible plans R's have in store for Medicare. 50% of Medicare age people are enrolled in Medicare Expansion which is a 100% PRIVATE HEALTH INSURACNE SCHEME. here is what in store for all Medicare clients.......Medicare REACH

no problem...........my thesis is that in terms of issues that invlove the most amount of apathetic and indifferent voters, its Medicaid for Hispanic but its Medicare for seniors.......most Seniors i talk to have no idea they are getting screwed on Medicare Advantage cause the haven't gotten screwed yet. REACH seems to be a new assault but may have not hit Texas yet. My friend alerted me from NY State. Combine ME with Medicare with increasing number of horror stories surronding pregancy Tarrant Dems have a huge message ......if the new chair would prioritize engaging apothetic voters. We will know tommorrwo if we have a new Chair tommorrow willing to do just that.

just to give u a flavor of the Tarrant County D party: i got an email from my Representative candidate of 2022. He did not have a telephone number, a website , a campaign sign nor any staff. I offered to be his campaign manager and he refused my offer. In his email today he complained that in forwarding the new story about TCU in today's FWST i am perpetuating the bad news. He didn't say that , he called the whole story a 'whine-a-can' story and therefore i am a whine -a-can. He is a big supported of Joel Fryer as Chair.

I quote: "By forwarding the Star-Telegram link you are amplifying whine-a-cans talking point(s) from a whine-a-can owned so-called newspaper about a whine-a-can owned university. " Then he went on to talk about global warming and other things.

Global warming is not going to drive voters next election. HC will, fallout from Dobbs will(already proven) , the attack on LBGTQ communities will. We cannot rule if we don't get elected. We don't get elected by talking about Ukraine or guns except as how we sqaure up on those issues. HC, post Roe barbaraties, affirmative action, attacks on LBGQT will , i believe and would be my focus.

I'm honestly not thrilled about any of them. We may need to rely on grassroots orgs to get us through the next election.

I did talk to Joel Fryer though, he said he won't be throwing his name in the hat due to time constraints.

Not a peep out of any candidate fro Tarrant Chair election tommorrwo....Espcailly Joel Pryer, any opion?

here is what happens when you prove to the opposition there is absolutely no price to be paid when they tread on us Ds, There even is a TCU Dem group w/o an email or FB..thanks all previous chairs. Thanks for nothing EC.  Thanks for not sticking up for Tarrant and College Dems TCDP. College Dems, notoriously Dem and liberal leaning gets no love from the Party in Texas and Tarrant County.

There is Southwest Dems which is mainly TCU Profs Emeretus and some Alumni. They do nothing but have self referential meetings. Thanks for nothing EC.

Crystal Gayden was calling precinct chairs this week. I got an email from Michael Rector, said he was running. Crystal told me that Sylvia Rodriguez was also running, but I don't know her and haven't heard from her. Crystal is the only one who has filed with the state, though.

If it ain't me, i would hope it is someone young who is already connected and who will amke voter and voters getting. Anyone who has hung around EC waiting theri turn? ugh

frankly i think you need a used car sale type to go out and sell what we got and what we got is ownership of all the issues .....

yet R's still win all the elections

to the new Chair in my years of dalliance in Tarrant County politics the thing i note the most ......NO ONE but NO ONE knows there is a Dem party working on thier behalf.

I knew low income women who had no idea when the got the enhanced child care tax credits and so when they were rescinded they weren't surprised. No one bothered to tell them is came from Biden. No service industry people know they are likely elegible for highly subsidized Obamcare. No one tells them. And on and on.

We , Tarrant Dems , have failed miserably in telling the majority of Tarrant voters who we are and what we have done for them in the 2 + years of Biden or the 8 years of Obama.

I completely agree with you. Bipartisanship only makes sense if both sides are honorable. We are where we are because Texas Democrats normalize abhorrent behavior. The average voter has no idea how bad they are because we fail to tell them constantly and clearly. People assume “all politicians are the same”. You can’t play nice with people who aren’t. We end up gaslighting voters. And losing elections.

We need to normalize calling out bad behavior, imo. But I think you're right, the average voter isn't super tuned-in. I read a paper about that once and only like 10% of voters pay daily attention to politics.
