From Simmering To Boil, Mayra Flores' GrubGate Scandal Deepens
Dishing Out Deceit: The spicy saga continues...
If you missed yesterday’s main course of controversy, I served up “Can Mayra Flores’ Political Career Survive GrubGate?” Former Congressional Rep and current Congressional candidate was caught in the kitchen of deceit, seasoning an authentic Guyanese recipe with a tall tale, claiming it as a homegrown delicacy simmered over her family ranch’s open flames.
We all had a good laugh.
Then, this morning, the alt-right publication Current Revolt put Mayra Flores’ social media history on the chopping block with “Mayra Flores in GRUBGATE Scandal.” They meticulously filleted her online presence, reverse-image searching every dish she claimed to have masterfully prepared.
They were all stolen! Every single one. It appears she’s been garnishing her profile with other creators’ culinary creations, attempting to pass off these borrowed banquets as her own handcrafted feasts for years.
Like this picture, she posted in September:
She even conversed with one of her followers about its type of cheese. As it turns out, this picture was stolen from a 2021 post by Info Tamulipas.
Another picture food picture Mayra Flores posted from her “family’s ranch” in 2022:
The picture was also stolen from a Facebook page in 2019 called Comida De Rancho.
Mayra Flores has been running a culinary cat-burglar operation right under our noses. It’s a buffet of banditry, with Flores playing the role of a master chef in a kitchen where the only thing she’s cooking up is a storm of scandal. From cheese capers to ranch ruses, her menu seemed full of other people’s recipes—a true smorgasbord of stolen snapshots.
Earlier this year, she posted this one to her social media:
This was also posted in 2021 on a Facebook page called Primera Fila Mx.
In the kitchen of credibility, it appears Mayra’s only specialty is reheating others’ leftovers, like this post, where she claims to be a “proud Latina who knows how to cook” and says that homemade Mexican food tastes better from a gas stove.
The lie detector determined that it was a lie. This photo came from a 2021 post on the Izabal Magazine Facebook page.
Why?
Why would Mayra Flores embark on this grand gastronomic grift, you ask? Maybe she envisioned herself as a ‘Julia Child of Jive,’ whipping up a fantasy feast in the political pressure cooker, where the secret ingredient is always someone else’s picture. Whatever her recipe for deception, it’s clear that Flores has been baking her brand on a bed of borrowed bread, toasting to her tale with a glass of stolen Pinot.
And if the stolen food pictures weren’t indicative of a pattern of lies by Mayra Flores, this story gets worse. Some of her neighbors have posted pictures of her “family ranch” on social media.
Her “family ranch” seems about as real as a unicorn’s picnic.
So, as the oven timer dings on this half-baked saga, we’re left sifting through the crumbs of truth in Mayra Flores’ make-believe feasts. Let’s hope Flores is soon served a slice of humble pie cooked up in the kitchen of karma.
