Just wondering...Shrub, over in Dallas, has he offered up any Jesusy kinda statement about the abjectly immoral Trump administration?

If there is any Dem lege reading....how can we get 'Cruelty is the point' as the new state motto?

everybody says.....timinator...don't be so hysterical..........well okay i guess i could try to calm down but as soon as i do I read how , remember the frogs in the pot of boiling water analogy, how MAGA is planning to de-enroll about 10M off Obamacare.........not all at once ,mind u.,, that's the beauty of it. It'll be a slow and steady decline in enrollment so no one will really notices. This is by design.

At the same time Elon the Dodge(sic) and MAGA will be working tirelessly to extend Trump tax cuts.

to paraphrase David Alan Coe....if that ain't cruelty , u can kiss my ass

Many progressive Democrats are simply confused about the main divide in the House D caucus. It is between those desperately wanting hold on to Democratic chairs and those who understand that very little is being stopped or accomplished by the chairs. That is really it. All of the attempts to divine who is more to the left or more to the center by the press and activists are just misguided.

Looking at the things that get passed and the things that get killed, the chairmanships really aren't that serious. Are they? It seems like the GOP is going to ram through their bullshit, no matter what.

Correct. But they bring social capital in the building and campaign capital too. Now they are legislative veto points, and a fully partisan chamber can be expected to probably be a bit worse from a progressive perspective. But Ds would probably also be more willing to try to build conditions for not being a permanent minority with more urgency, too.

They're going to do whatever, but I hope that blocking vouchers is at least part of their plan.

I urge the Dems to say exactly this: “We don’t have time for the Republicans’ political theater. We’re focused on the people of Texas.”

"We want Bo,,,,we want Bo".........at least Bo thinks so (Bo French , Chair Tarrant County MAGA Party)

"Following John Cornyn’s refusal to support all of Donald Trump’s Cabinet nominees, many people have reached out asking me to consider running against him in 2026. "

one conseguence: letting the subsidies for O'care expire...for one couple...'“A 60-year-old couple with moderate income would have to pay an extra $40,000 per year out of pocket if they want to keep their coverage,” “And people with low incomes, who now have no out-of-pocket premium costs, would be charged hundreds of dollars.”-Center for Budget Analysis

or IOW they won't let Trump tax breaks expire but they will let HC subsidies expire.
