Did anyone watch the interim hearing about DEI on November 11, 2024? I didn't count how many people were for or against the existing bill, but those against were the majority. One medical professional was asked if DEI-infused job training negatively impacted the level of care by medical professionals--this person answered in the affirmative. One young woman testified against the bill and began to cry. She said that she was a Muslim and felt that SHE was being discriminated against. She had used up her time, and was warned that her time was up. Everybody else got the chance to finish their sentence, but because she was upset, Creighton told her she was finished. When she tried to continue, he slammed his gavel and shouted "HEY!" at her. It was pathetic.
Thank you for another well written, always informative article. I especially enjoy the vid clips revealing how Senator Creighton sounds like he is also trying to convince himself in real time of the ridiculous merits of his arguments.
I'm curious what the data by Gallop is on the race and ethnicity by party affliation is today vs 2012.
We are a non- voting state, and it will only get harder to vote and have your vote counted the longer they are in power. Thanks for all of your work in providing information.

Yes, and clipped it. https://youtube.com/@lonestarleft?si=rSQHwBeMKPsTPgeT
Creighton is the absolute worst.
This is one of the most PROFOUND things you've written: When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression.

I was curious, too. I looked for more current data, but couldn't find any.
