Angela Paxton Refuses To Recuse After Singing Husband's Praises

The endless corruption of the Paxton family is profound and seemingly without limits.

Everyone can stop wondering about what Angela Paxton plans on doing regarding the impeachment trial after she puts out the following statement:

Paxton promises to “carry out my duties” on the very day before the Senate considers rules for her husband’s impeachment trial.

She means that she will vote to acquit her corrupt shady-dealing husband. We shouldn’t have expected anything less from a woman who drove the getaway car to her husband’s escape from a process server.

And if there is any doubt about how Angela Paxton plans to vote, here is the tweet she posted before her announcement.

You’d be fooling yourself if you thought either of the Paxtons had even a smidgeon of integrity. The Republican Party of Texas has propped up the worst and most corrupt as they pad their pockets with oil money and push legislation on behalf of fascist billionaires. Now, it’s looking like they will try to screw the people over again and place mob-boss Paxton back in the head of law and order in Texas.

It is HIGHLY unethical for Angela Paxton to vote in her husband’s impeachment proceedings. Conflict of interest doesn’t even begin to cover it. Perhaps, the Senate Rules Committee has a little principle left and will make a rule forcing her to recuse. We can hope, right?
